Quit Era

Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

The short version: Quit Era doesn’t collect your data. Everything you enter stays on your phone. We can’t see it, and nobody else can either.

What the app stores

Your habits, quit dates, savings, treats, check-ins, cravings, journal entries (moods, cravings and notes) and settings. These are saved only on your device, in a local database inside the app. There is no account and no server, so we can’t access, read or recover any of it.

Journal entries and moods may count as health information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR). Because they never leave your device, we don’t collect or process them.

What we don’t do

Subscriptions (Quit Era Plus)

Quit Era Plus is bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google handle the payment. We use a service called RevenueCat only to check whether you have an active subscription. It receives an anonymous ID and your purchase receipt, but none of your habit or journal data. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your phone. We don’t use a push notification service, and you can turn reminders off in your phone’s settings at any time.

Photos

If you choose “Save to Photos” on a share card, the app asks permission to add that image to your photo library. It never reads your photos.

Your choices

Children and young people

Quit Era is for everyone. Because the app doesn’t collect any personal data, from anyone, it’s safe for all ages. If you’re under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before buying Quit Era Plus. On iPhone, Family Sharing’s “Ask to Buy” lets them approve purchases.

Not medical advice

Quit Era helps you build new habits. It isn’t a medical device and doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. If you need to talk to someone, find a free, confidential helpline in your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
